Situated on a rocky red cliff over looking the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, our Inn is one of the few higher-end 4 star accommodations that can boost of being only a few feet from the sea! Each room and window leads you toward the sea. As well, every guest room has a waterfront view. When you open your windows at night you cannot help but hear the ocean roar and see waves crash against the island's famous red stones. Built in 1999, our inn was erected onto one of the North Shores outer most extended jetties. From this vantage point our guest have breath taking views along the rugged rocky cliffs to the east and to the west as well as due north out to sea. From this angle we are blessed to have the most beautiful sunsets in the area. And for you early risers, you will be thrilled to sea the sun rising over the ocean. . What a perfect way to begin your day.

The Johnson Shore inn is a charming country inn nestled on 50 acres. Secluded and well removed from the bustling world, our guest delight in watching the snowshoe rabbits scurrying about, and the eagles soaring. For the nature lover, days can be spent hiking our coastline, bird watching or simply swimming and exploring our quite, sand dune beaches.

Our inn has 12 guest rooms, each having an ocean view, private bath, and queen beds. Four rooms have a queen and a twin for those needing separate sleeping arrangements .Hardwood floors are found throughout the inn creating a feeling of warmth and comfort. The inn is also filled with island antiques, and local artwork. For your enjoyment there is a common area filled with table games. Or you may choose to relax quietly in front of the warmth of the fire with a good book.

When you relax in your guestroom, on our oversized wing back chairs, looking out toward the sea, we hope you will feel comfortable and "at home". We are committed to making your stay here truly relaxing and memorable. During your stay with us, you are encouraged to relax on one of our colourful Adirondack chairs as you watch the waves dance off the rocks, sip your favourite beverage and loose yourself in the tranquility of it all.

The waters surrounding the inn beacon you to leave work and the worries of the world behind….if only for a few days. As to encourage a true getaway, there is no phone or TV in your room. A courtesy phone is in our lobby for your convenience.
